Madonna 2012

Hi Everyone

No cards to share with you today but there is a fab new launch from CC being shown by the DT from tomorrow.  I can't wait to share mine they are such fab images. And there is a competition to join in...........  with a fab prize...............

So i promised a few photos from the Madonna concerts i went to last week and i have just about recovered.  I am really getting old and need a nap on an afternoon, Friday saturday and Sunday i have had a mid day nap to recharge my batteries.

Te first concerts was at London's; Hyde park and then to Birmingham on Thursday and i have to say the show was amazing.  I really cannot understand why the critics are so harsh on Madonna as she is doing what she wants to do.  I have read news articles and seen on the tv that the show was criticised for concentrating on her new album and not on her old hits.  However it is a tour linked to the launch of her new album as most artists do so what else would you expect.  Its not a greatest hits tour but she did sing a lot of her old favourites too.  Grace loved it and she can't wait to go again.

Anyway, here are a few of my photos and i am really disappointed at the quality and am considering purchasing a new camera for my next trip away.  All i get is fuzzy images when it used to work brilliantly.  How cool does Gracie look?

And the view from our hotel window, the new Shard building. .
Had a fab trip away and a great week off work, looking forward to my next one which is back to London on the 3rd August for the Olympics................  I better get a few naps in now...........

Spectrum Noir Christmas in July Blog Hop

A few members of the Spectrum Noir team have gotten together to celebrate Christmas in July!  We have an inspiration-filled blog hop today, along with a few great prizes!  If you have arrived here from Cyndi's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, pop over to the Spectrum Noir blog so you don't miss a thing!

I have used an image from the Mulberry wood range of stamps and coloured in Grey tones.  I actually coloured this at the Doncaster show at the weekend and couldn't wait to get home and make it up into a card.  The colours used are IG5, IG3, IG2, DR5, DR3, CR7, FS6, LG1, CT1 and EB1.  I've used some white linen card to emboss onto and used a sentiment that came with another of the Mulberry Wood stamp sets and then glittered the card to make it more christmassy.

We hope you've been checking out the Spectrum Noir blog - it is full of great tutorials, techniques, and other projects from our design team.  If you haven't been over there, go take a look!  Before we get to the rest of the hop today, let's have a little fun.  How about a prize?  Spectrum Noir is going to award one lucky winner two sets of six markers, a pack of Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock (perfect for coloring!), and an adorable stamped called All Wrapped Up, from the new Mulberry Wood line.

Entering to win is easy.  Leave a comment on the Spectrum Noir Blog Hop Post telling us your favorite Spectrum Noir color combination you saw while hopping with us this week (please comment no later then Friday, July 27 at 6:00 PM GMT).  A random winner will be drawn using random.org and posted on our blog at 9:00 AM GMT, Saturday, July 28, 2012, so be sure to check back with us to see if you have won!  The lucky winner will have one week to claim their prize or a second winner will be chosen.

Now, hop on over to the next amazing blog and check out what Danielle has to share!  In case you get lost along the way, here is the entire hop order:

Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate Christmas in July!  Have fun hopping around to see all of the inspiration from our team, and good luck winning the prize pack!

Hope you like my card.

Craft Punked Blog challenge - Olympics

Hi Everyone

How quickly do Fridays come round and where is this year going, its nearly August??????

This weeks Craft Punked Blog Challenge is the Olympics and i have gone all patriotic by making a red, white and blue card and this card is how i hope the British Team will get on at the Olympics, ie Gold Medals all the way............  I am lucky enough to have tickets for the athletics and can't wait, its such a big occasion.

My image is from the Swalk range and he is coloured with Spectrum Noirs.  I've used backing papers from the Swalk CD ROM 2 and then just added a sentiment and a few brads.  Quite bright for me but i really do think i am starting to like all of these bright colours and colour mixes.

I'm scheduling this post on Tues am as i am getting ready for my trip to London with Gracie and her mam Emma.  Its tonight and she is so excited she is such a fan and i really don't know where her influence has come from ;0).  I just found out last night that LMFAO are supporting too and she has been singing I'm sexy and i know it all morning.  We've got our wellies packed and i hope it stays dry.  I should have some piccies to share with you later on in the week and when I'm back from London i'm off to Birmingham for, guess what.  Another Madonna concert.  this one is inside so it'll be less hectic i think.

Hope you like my card.

Spectrum Noir Blog Post

Hi Everyone

Its seems ages since my last post, my aim of one a day has gone out of the window but i have just been so busy and tired lately.  I was at the Doncaster Summer Crafting show over the weekend and met lots of lovely crafters so if you were there i hope you had fun.  I had such a great time and i love going to craft shows and the next one is Donnington on the 18th and 19th August and i will be there both days.

Here is my latest card for the Spectrum Noir Blog and i have coloured a Flower soft image with my Speccies this time.  Its quite a dark stamp with lots of shading already in place and i wanted to show how you can brighten a dark stamp up with bright colours.  The flowers and foiliage are just a series of dots and are really easy to do.

The frame is cut from my ecraft on coordination's and i found the svg file from Birds Cards blog and the backing paer is from the adorables summer CD ROM.  To finish i just added a few flowers and leaves and a small die cut butterfly.

Pop over to the blog for colours used.

Ok, I'm off to get my paperwork ready and bags packed for my trip to see Madonna in Hyde park tonight.  I canneeee wait, i can tell you I'm just a little bit hyper and i have just found out that LMFAO are on with her too...............  its going to be AWESOME!!!!!

Hope you like it.

Summertime

Hi Everyone

its a new Craft Punked Blog Challenge today and the them is Summertime.  Well where is it?  i think we had it back in March when we had a few really scorchio days.  My goodness i am fed up of all this rain and i am on holiday next week and really hoped it would dry and sunny for Hyde park on Tuesday at the Madonna concert as i'm taking Gracie and her Mam, Emma.  Anyway hopefully it will not be cancelled as that's what happened to Kylie and Jason.  Any way we will see and we will take waterproofs and maybe i need to go and buy some wellies.

OK enough of that now to my card.  I have used Isabella from Bugaboo digis and you could win vouchers too if you enter.  I chose this stamp as i loved the beach when i was little and went on lots of beach holidays with my family as a child.  However i hate the sand now i just really can't be bother with it and would much rather stay beside a nice clean pool.  How things change.

I've coloured her with my spectrum noirs and used coredinations behind the backing paper.  The backing paper is one that i have used for the first time and its from Jayne Nestorenko Summer Adorable cd Rom.  I have had this for a while now and not even looked at it but i love this paper.  So to keep it very summery i chose orange and the ribbon and pearls were white but i have coloured them with my spectrums.  How fab is that, they now match perfectly to my colour scheme.  The sentiment stamp is a whimsy one i think and the die i have used is a Marianne die.

Hope you like it and don't forget to enter.

Monochrome

Hi Everyone

Another Craft Punked Blog Challenge for you today and the theme is Monochrome.  So i really looked forward to making this card as i do love monochrome papers etc and i had a few ideas from my crafty stash at home that would be perfect.  Or i could have coloured an image all in one colour.  But Claire Hamer had other ideas and invited me for tea so how could i refuse this kind offer.

She is a huge fan of Papertrey ink stamps and i have to say i am loving them too, although i am resisting the urge to buy.  So my invitation for tea also comes with an invitation to get crafty and share all of her goodies so i thought i would kill two birds with one stone as they say.

So after i sat and watched Andy Murray win his quarter-final match against Ferrer i was cheeky and asked if the card i could make could be monochrome so it would fit with my challenge card.  Here's what i came up with.  This paper and black card was out of Claire s scrap box and this is one of the new stamps she just had delivered with matching dies. Its very different for me i know but i love it.  Its one of those cards i keep looking at.

And i asked Claire if i could bring hers home too so i could share it with you and she chose pink for hers.  Just a slightly different stamp but the same dies. Isn't it fab?  What a fab night, Andy Murray then tea then crafting, cant think of anything better.........

Hope you like them as much as i do.

Ho Ho Ho - Crafters Companion Monthly Blog Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today i have a beautiful image from the Mulberry wood Hunky dory Kit that Sara launched on Create and Craft on Friday.  They have all sold out but don't worry if you missed out on the pick of the day I'm sure Crafters Companion will still have some on their website.

So its time for another monthly crafters companion blog challenge, i cannot believe 6 months of this year has already gone and flown by.  This time the theme is Christmas yes its only 5 months and 3 weeks away so watch out those months will fly too.  As the theme is titled  'Ho,Ho,Ho'  i decided to chose a lovely Santa image.  The image on the papers are from the luxury card kit and the sentiment is from the aperture card kit.

Ok I'm off now to do some crafting and then out for tea.

Don't forget to enter the challenge in July as you may be the lucky winner.

Hope you like it.
