Craft Punked Blog Challenge - New baby

Hi Everyone

Its been two weeks since i last posted a card and i missed last weeks blog challenge.  I really didn't want to but i have just been really busy, not enough hours in the day.   I have been to Donnington Craft Show which was fab, also demoed at the Derby garden Centre last Saturday and met some lovely crafters there.  I'm sure i have been doing other stuff too but it has all gone in a flash..  Oh and i had an awful summer cold that knocked me for six and i just slept all the time when getting in from work and it is still lingering on.

So this week the theme for the Craft Punked Blog Challenge is New Baby and i have used a fab SWALK image and coloured her with spectrum noirs.  The backing paper is from the Swalk CD and i have used a folded back card scored on my Ultimate pro. The corners have been cut on my e-craft and i added a couple of matching flowers and pearls.

Ok, busy busy busy so i don't know when i will post again.  However i do miss keeping you all updated so i will be back soon.  So on Saturday i am off to Birmingham NEC for a trade fair and won't be back until Wednesday evening.  Then in another weeks time i will be off to Holland to another show where i will be colouring using my spectrum noirs.  (can't wait, i've never been before and i will get nearly a whole a day sight seeing too.  I'm sure i will have some photos to share with you.

Hope you like my card.

Craft Punked Blog Challenge - Flower Power

Hi Everyone

I cannot keep up with everything that is going on....................  Anyway here is my card for this weeks Craft Punked Blog Challenge and the theme is Flower Power.

Sooooooooooo.................  i have chosen a paper from the summer adorbales cd and some stamps i had in my stash and used dusky concord to stamp with.  I've added a little bow in a matching colour and matted onto a plain white linen card with some matching purple cordinations.  The little sentiment says each time you smile, but i think its so small its not clearly visible in the picture.

I l; love the simplicity of this card and my inspiration is from Kate Martins blog, but her 3 cards are much much better than mine.  Hope you don't mind Kate................

Beside the Sea

Hi Everyone

Today is another Craft Punked blog challenge and this weeks theme is beside the sea.  My first thought was to make a card using the lovely new SWALK image with the little boy and girl by the sea but i thought that was a bit too obvious.  So i changed my mind and used this fab little image from the Morehead Double CD ROM as when i think of beside the sea i think of Ice cream, (as well as sand, freezing cold water and harsh winds)  The backing paper also reminds me of deck chairs too and my mam and dad shouting at each other about how to put them up without nipping fingers........ oh happy days!

So i have printed and image form the cd and used coredinations and backing paper from the cd too to matt and layer.  The bunting and sentiment are all from the cd too and i used one of my punches for the border.  The image is layered onto the centre of one of the CC new dies, Enchanted Spring.

Hope you like it.

What an Amazing Day - 4/08/12

Hi Everyone

What a fabulous day we had on Saturday, how amazing it was to be at the Olympic Stadium and i cannot describe the noise at cheering all the athletes in every event.

We were so lucky to obtain tickets for the heptathlon and 100m heats as Jessica went on to win gold that same evening and 3 British mens 100m runners got through to the semi finals.  We also saw the women's pole vault qualifying round and the mens 400 m.  Just awesome.......

Well here are some of my photos and i nearly nearly got the most amazing photo of Jessica but in my excitement i cut her head of, how rude.  But there was no second chance as that was her last jump of the morning.

A once in a lifetime experience and i am so pleased i managed to get the tickets.

Ok, now i am having withdrawals symptoms from card making so i need to go and get started, after the housework that is............

Craft Punked Blog Challenge - At the Movies

Hi Everyone

I feel like i am in a caught up in a whirlwind and it won't stop...................   I know i say this all the time but i cannot believe how quick the time is flying by, its Friday for goodness sake and is the 3rd August...............

Well time for a Craft Punked blog challenge and this weeks' them is at the movies.  The prize on offer this week is from the Octopode factory and Lily has designed some lovely dark characters that we could use this week.  The one i have chosen is Sally from the nightmare before Christmas and i have coloured her in reds and greys...........  to match the paper i used.  How lovely is this paper, unfortunately i cannot give you a link as it was a gift but i think it is an american company called heartfelt creations who make fab paper pads..........

I've coloured her with my Spectrum Noir Pens pens and oh my goodness doesn't she have big eyes.  I've used a scalloped x cut die and cut the photo corners on my e-craft.  Grace loves a nightmare before Christmas so i can't wait until she sees it.  Or i may even keep it for her 9th birthday.

Don't forget to pop along and enter your card.  You don't need to use an octopde factory digi it just needs to be linked to the movies..............

I have scheduled this post so i hope it works as at this point i will be packing and getting ready to leave for the Olympics, Kevin and i have tickers for the athletics and the mens 100 metres, heats.  I'm sooooo excited...........

Hope you like it.

Crafters Companion Monthly Blog Challenge - August

Hi Everyone

Its the 1st of August and time for a Crafters Companion Blog Challenge, this month Best Friends is the them.  So as i thoroughly enjoyed making the few cards i did for samples for the Pick of the week i though i would make another as i never got round to making a shaped card.  So this is from the Morehead CD Disc 1 and i have used my Epiphany Tool to make a matching embellishment using a square charm.  For the inside i have added a special verse from the verse writer on the CD.  Sometimes i genuinely forget that this option is available on CC Cd's and there are lots of verses already created for you, all you have to do is choose which one.

And can you spot the die cut behind the verse this is something new and exciting from CC.................  they will be coming to you all soon................
