Hello Everyone
I think it must be nearly a week since i last posted and since then i have been to Birmingham and London.
Birmingham was fab and i had a lovely time (but busy) at the trade show. I was demoing the e-craft and met lots of lovely people. I know i always say that when I'm out an about but i really mean it. Lovely people who love the e-craft and also the fab new e-bosser. I was really impressed with that myself and cannot wait for it to arrive in the county. I also met Linda Simpson whos blog i follow and she is also lovely.
Ok as soon as i returned i wanted to make a card just for myself and wanted to chill and do what i liked today, colour with my speccies. So i stamped a belles and whistles image that i have had for a while now and haven't used.
I've chosen colours to match the backing paper, which i really don't know where i got or whose it is, i think it may be k&co but i'm not sure. I've added a few roses and a die cut butterfly and also made my own embellishment with the circle 14 Epiphany tool. I bought these from Crafters Companion when they launched a couple of weeks ago and rather than use the backing paper to match i stamped another butterfly from the image and coloured it in turq to match. I also purchased some of the silver tags and i love the finished effect as it macthes perfectly.
Hers a close up of the coloured image and the pendant.
Ok back to my London trip. I went with a close friend who hadn't been to London in such a long time and it was a treat for her. We travelled first class and started off our Holiday as we meant to go on when we got off the train. A friend had told her about St pancras Station and she wanted to have a quick look so we wandered over, went in a couple of shops and then had a champagne cocktail in the champagne bar. It was just what we needed. We then checked into the hotel and got ready for our evening meal and show. We had a gorgeous meal in the Ivy and Katy Price was at the table opposite to us with her on off boyfriend Leandro. It was reported in the daily mail online that they had had a romantic dinner for two and it was just the two of them. However there was four of them at the table and it was far from romantic so i guess its true you need to be careful what you believe in newspapers. They were on their mobile phones all night and he really only talked to the guy next to him while she chatted to a girl next to her. Even when their meal was brought they were constantly ont their mobiles. Anyway i go for the fab food and not to star spot (although it isnice to see how others live and people watch) and it was amazing we were full to the brim when we left. Here's a photo below that i asked the doorman to take of us when we came out.
its a bit blurry but never mind. then we walked over to the prince Edward theatre and watched jersey boys, it was amazing the singing is fab. Then after a fab night sleep and breakfast in the Waldorf we shopped in covent garden and harrods all day. My credit card took a hammering as i bought earrings, a new pair of shoes and a new top. Then back on the train where we took advantage of the free booze until i realised i had to drive home and therefore only had coke and its all over til next time.
I've a few DT cards to make soon so will be busy and will be back to perusing your blogs as i bet i have missed out on loads of lovely cards.
Hope you like my card.
