Popcorn Picture

Hello Everyone

Well i think we all knew what was going to happen didn't we?  Its gone and sold out in the 8.00am show, less then 24 hours of the Pick of the Week being launched.  Oooo and did you hear what Sara sneakily mentioned this morning that there is going to be a cd of the fairy poppets.  I'm sure i heard her say that, or maybe it was wishful thinking.

My project for today is a Popcorn the bear picture as i have been working on samples for Sara's next shows in Germany this coming week where the Popcorn CD is to be launched in Germany for the first time.  They are in for a treat.  I've coloured him in spectrum noirs and i was going to put him on a card but thought i would find one of my picture frames that have been sitting waiting in my cupboard for just the right image.  I have kept it very plain and its just the image.  The picture frame is from ikea and didn't cost very much from what i remember.

Hope you like it.

Glitter Geeks Blog Challenge - Spring is in the air

Hi Everyone

Today's card is one of the new magnolia stamps (well new to me) i purchased recently (although i really really don't need any more stamps).  However i have been seeing this lovely image on loads of cards recently and just couldn't resist.

This is my second DT card for Glitter Geeks and this week you need to design a card which will depict 'Spring is in the Air'.  I really love lemon at the minute and soft subtle tones so i picked some lovely nitwits papers to match and also used my memory box tulip border for the very first time.  I bought it at the NEC last November and i still hadn't used it.  I've also added a LOTV sentiment which i think fits the card perfectly and used one of my little butterfly dies. Coloured with my speccies as usual.  I really must start and try to remember adding the colours i have used.

Remember get your entry sorted and added to the the glitter geeks blog challenge and you will have the chance to win a voucher from Bugaboo Digi STamps Where there are a whole range of lovely digis for all sorts of styles of cards, girly, boys, scenes, flowers, silhouettes etc.  i could go on and on.

I'm not sure who has won the song title challenge from last week as yet but to each and  everyone of you that entered a card or project i must say i have loved viewing them and sending you comments.  They were all fab.

Hope you like it.

Last Chance for Paintbox Poppets Blog Candy

Hi Everyone

Aren't you just loving paintbox poppets, i am too and so are all the DT. I think you can tell by the cards they are making.  Ok lets get onto the stuff you want to see, more piccies.  Oh but before that this will be the last full day that you can comment and have the chance to win a Paitnbox Poppets CD Rom.  If you haven’t left a comment on my previous sneak peeks them you still have time to enter on each one.  Also don’t forget forget the Crafters Companion News Blog.

Just leave a comment and i will be picking a winner before Gracie goes to school tomorrow at about 8am.

Next Sneak Peek, todays card are the two little ballerina girls and i have chosen to use blue to match the topper background and i have used the colouriser to tone the colour to a really light blue shade.  I’ve used coredinations to matt and add a heart border, then added some organza ribbon and a sentiment from the CD Rom.

My second card is another of the new embossing folders, Corner Flourish from crafters companion.  The deep impression that is given with these folders is gorgeous and i have used snow white centura pearl this time.  I’ve added a few punched flowers and made a sentiment from a crafters companion cd verse writer then just finished with a bit of ribbon.

Good luck in the blog candy draw and i will be back with the news tomorrow of who has won.  How exciting.

Hope you like them.

Sneak Peek Day 4

Hello Everyone

Again i have 2 more cards for you today.  Another paintbox poppets and oh my word everyone is just absolutely loving these.  I can't wait for the shows starting on Create and Craft on Friday.  Also another embossing folder.

I really have difficulty making boys cards and therefor this pack fits in perfectly as there are a number of stamps and images on the CD that are perfect.  I have used the little boy golfing stamp today and the matching round sentiment circle stamp.  I've added number 1 nephew as i think this matches it perfectly and i only have one nephew and this would be perfect as he loves golf.

Coloured with spectrum noir pens and using the backing paper from the CD ROM.  I love both of these papers and know they will become favourites that i go to use time after time.

My second card is a new embossing folder from Crafters Companion, leafy tree and i thought how i could use this combining it with a stamp.  So i searched through my swalk stamps and thought this would fit perfectly, best friends sitting on a bench under the tree.  I have added small leaves to the tree cut using my e-craft  Coloured with speccies and matted onto coredinations  I embossed the tree first onto neenah card so i could then stamp and colour with the pens.

Dont forget, leave a comment for another chance to win the Paintbox Poppets CD Rom.  I am adding them all up and will draw the winner on Friday am.  Good Luck everyone and thanks for all of your lovely comments.  I do read all of them and they are very much appreciated.

Also don't forget to go to the crafters companion news blog for another chance to win the DVD.  On there you will also find the other DT members blog links so you can have even more chances to win.  I think Sara and Leann are really spoiling us all this month.

Hope you like them.

Day 3 Sneak Peek - 2 cards today

Hello Everyone

2 cards in one post today as i have paintbox poppets and the embossing folders to show you and don't forget to comment today and you get another chance for the Blog Candy of a paintbox poppet CD.

My first card is a card companion from the Paintbox Poppets CD ROM and what i just love about theses are all the work is done for you when you need a quick card.  Sometimes i can spend ages laying out card and paper etc until i feel i have it just right but no need for that with these.  I have just added a flower made with the backing paper too and a sentiment form the CD and its done.

My second card is using one of the new embossing folders from Crafters Companion and again a very quick card to make.  This time it is a banner and i have added some letter beads from my stash and a Happy Birthday sentiment using the verse writer from my paintbox poppet cd.  I've used coredinations card to then distress the pattern to make it stand out more and i am finding i love this very simple cards.

Ok same instructions as yesterday, leave a comment and you can win this fantastic CD ROM, even if you commented yesterday please add today and that gives you two chances.

Good luck and hope you like my cards.

Flower Frenzy Embossing Folder

Hello Everyone

My second post today, i have lots to show you and i was going to include this in my last post until i found out we had blog candy to give away.

so here is my second card of the day and this is using one of the new embossing folders, flower frenzy from CC that will are already available on their website and will be on create and craft on the 10th march..

Its a very simple card as i didn't have to do much as the folder does all the work.  I've added yellow coredinations to the bottom half and the top half is just plain white card.  I've distressed the yellow coredinations with my sand it gadget.  then just added a sentiment , from my stash of stamps bit of ric rac and a wooden flower.  its not my usual type of card but i love it.

Hope you like it.

Paint box Poppets Sneak Peek 2 & BLOG CANDY

Hi Everyone

Another paintbox poppets sneak peek and some fab exciting news re BLOG CANDY from Crafters Companion.

This is my second sneak peek of paintbox poppets and i know you must just be loving them as my card has gone to the second highest rating in my most viewed blogs.  Only my little swalk tea light card is currently beating it.   This time i have used a topper from the cd rom and some coredinations card to matt.  I have also added a bow and a heart metal charm setting using my epiphany heart tool and heart epoxy stickers that i just love as i can make matching embellies.  i just printed a second topper image and used this.

Ok now to the bit you will be most interested in.

Crafters Companion have very kindly donated a Paintbox Poppets CD Rom for me to offer as blog candy.  So, if you would like a chance to win it you need to visit each day this week and add a comment to the post for that day (One comment per person per day is allowed) and on Friday I will ask my little random selector Gracie Welsh to pick a number. I will be asking her to do this before she goes to school on Friday am so your last comments will  need to be on my sneak peak that i post on Thursday.  Obviously if you are commenting everyday you are also getting more chances to win as i will add the number of comments each day together and choose from that total number.

All of my DT buddies are offering the same blog candy, so you can visit them all and leave a comment on each blog for even more chances to win.  A list of the DT members blogs will be on the Crafters Companion News and Inspiration blog later today.  Good Luck.

Watch out for the Paintbox Poppets Pick of the week on 9th March on Create and Craft

Hope you like it.

Paintbox Poppets Sneak Peak

Hi everyone

My first sneak peak of the new range of stamps and CD rom from Crafters Companion.  They will be the Pick of the Week on Create & Craft launching on this coming Friday.  I've just seen some of the other DT members sneak peaks and they are flipping amazing.  Mine will pale into comparison.

My first one a stamped image of a little girl in a chair and i have coloured her with my spectrum Noirs and matted onto coredinations and backing papers from the cd.

I think you know my style by now so i've kept it quite simple and just added 3 little buttons which are available on cd as well.  I just love this stripey paper and i know this will come in handy for lots of other ranges of stamps.  Thats what i love about Crafters Companion CD roms, there are always lots of papers that can be used with other ranges and images etc.

Don't you just love her, she is sitting making a daisy chain.

Hope you like it.
